When the crew arrive on the sunday this is some of our shots that will be taken.
Prepairing shots.
We are going film the person getting prepaired dramaticly, by filming close ups of tying shoes, putting on jacket, putting on medic bag, hat and cocking gun.

treament

my treatment is

• What it is our documentary- it is about a middle aged house wife who goes out to WW2 reenactments
• Where is it - it is at bury
• How are we going to do it - we are going to start of with a boring everyday house wife who lives at home and cut to snippets of the reenactments to grab audience attention. This should confuse the audience and make them want to know more. And the reenactment will be done in a saving private ryan sort of feel.
• Why are we doing the documentary- The documentary is to show people that an average evey day person could be interesting
• When are we shooting - we will be shooting on the 29th of may

Lights

There will be plenty of light as it will be outside and there will be no need for electrical assistance.

Meaning there will be no cable left around and nothing pluged in.

Sound

There is going to be trains but not as the reenactment is happening so thats good.

There will be an audience so that may disrupt the sound although it shoundn't disrupt to much as there are some load bangs.

Access

The crew know how to get there they are being picked up at 8am and will be taken home at the end of the day.

We all have each others numbers so contact isnt a problem

There is a carpark on sight.

refreshments are available.

and there are public toliets around.

More Idea's and Research for my Documentry

I think i should make a couple of minor changes to my idea's.
I think i should change what i said about good guys and bad guys and good guys to say I've killed em all the germans .... the yanks.....their all the same to me to make my documentry more balanced and less bias.

I also think that the end of the documentry I think i'm going to have the image of a german helmat upsidedown in the grass as in most war films we usually see an american helmat even though the germans lost the war. while this image is on I think I should use the voice over man again and have him say "In the end...(cock of a gun)....it's all just fun and games" bang gunshot end of documentary

I've also done some research today on my best day to film my reanactment by looking at itenary.


Itenary of dates

 There is a 40's weekend at Houghten Tower on the 30th of april and this would be a good opertunaty for vox pops, interviews with the castle behind them and maybe (if lucky) film a skirmish.

The Bury Battle looks like my best option on the 28th-30th of may which is a full weekend battle which I have been to before and it is a definate battle and is outside so I don't have to worry about light it's in a field and will be perfect for filming, even if it's raining and if so I will take an umberrella to keep the camera dry.

There is also a convoy at Saddleworth on 13th-14th of augest, but i think this maybe to late.although if not this may also be some good interesting footage, eventhough I don't know were I could fit this in my documentary but maybe I could use it as extra footage for when an interview is taking place. But if not it won't do no harm to have it anyway.

documentry idea's

my idea for my documentry is to be based on world war 2 reanactments that me and my dad do. although i'm not to sure on what i should base the story on. I don't know wether to interview poeple at the reanactmets we do it with and get information of both americans and germans or just film my dad and his everyday life and how he escapes reality with the reanactments as well as the reanactment.

Although I do think filming the reanactment and getting the story out of the people in an interview who do it with us would be more interesting. especially if i can get them to relate to their everyday lives.

I'll also get some vox pops from the people watching the show and ask them why they think we do these reanactments and what their all about. And I think i should put the Vox Pops at the beggining of the program to show what people think of us.

Or open up with a voice over of "I've killed em all" then a shot of a gun being cocked "the good guys" over the right shoulder shot "the bad guys" over the left shoulder shot and not i'm not to sure for the last line i have a few in mind:

• Who ever I choose/want
• And the wounded
• There all the same to me (I personally think this is the best one)

Then end it the scene with the gun pointed at the camera which is looking up from the floor and pulling the trigger and cutting to a black screen.

people think were crazy ..(from vox pop thier crazy)....hmm ......maybe we are....(laughs from vox pops)..... but what do we care.

I think i will keep cutting to a scenes of an interviews with people who reanacts (both germans and americans) with the battlefield being his background and scenes from the reanactments.
I will end this with a shot of the victory of the battle.

I think I should then get a shot of us all sat around as a group drinking beer (relaxing)
while I interview one of the poeple and ask about them and thier casual lives. maybe some shots of their dogs to show a lifestyle.

(I'm not to sure what I am to do to link the casual interviews to the ending)

I would really like to end the program with a helmet shot on the battle field to really add a good dramatic effect to the end of the program abit like the cover of the dvd below. and have "it's all just fun and games" as a title above the helmet.
